Third time making Almond London and this time failed so so terribly that I could die right this instant. My cookie dough was okay and it's a little harder this time like how some of my friends prefer it. But the Chocolate was a disaster. I used a different type of chocolate for I've finished using the cooking chocolate I used previously. And the saddest part is, I don't know the brand of that chocolate, forcing me to just try my luck on simply grabbing one. My 3 younger cousins came to help and so I thought of making more this time but in the end, they(cookies) all went to waste. My chocolate topping just wont harden and I don't know if it's the chocolate problem or there must have been some mistake while I was melting the chocolate. But I used the same way as I melted the previous chocolate and the result for those was fantastic. So I really don't know what went wrong. Now I can't even store the cookies properly, afraid that the chocolate might stick and if I want to bring it to school, it'll be so troublesome. Shit happens all the time. Plus it's a Sunday and I should be out shopping or laze around at home or at least be done with my assignment but right now I'm so freaking tired and angry and disappointed and I felt like the whole world had just gone against me. I'm so so paranoid right now! What am I gonna do with those cookies?

Almond London Cookies
YummyliciousAs per title, this is the almond london cookies in the baking process..
When it's named almond london, one of the main ingredient is definitely gotta be ALMOND!
I over burnt my almonds and hence, I gotta throw 3/4 of what I purchased >.<>
I wonder if I could just purchase those ready roasted almonds like the packeted snacks. That would probably save the trouble and cost.
And the toaster oven is just quite not suitable to roast nuts and also baking cookies i guess.. But muffins and cupcakes were still okay, the last time I tried.
For the recipe I followed here or you could oso refer to here or even here,
But you can also google it yourself ^.^
So this is the final product with flash
Without flash
I don't really know how I fair in this, coz I just tested the cookie without the chocolate topping. The cookie dough was erm.. a bit sweet ^.^ and not as yummy as what it suppose to be. I guess I just suck in this field.. -.-
But the chocolate tasted good, thanks to my aunt who did not finish using her cooking chocolate last time =) (I probably could not afford a good quality chocolate)
Bringing it back home today to be judged and commented ... Well dun think it would be good.. But after all, I made this just for fun =)
So long!

Bulletin Post: Vain Shots + New Clothes
Bulletin PostHello Hello! Like I've promised hours earlier, I would gather up my spirit and courage and venture this Earth all alone! Well, ermm... no no.. Earth is not the right word. Hmm.. I think it should be " small part of Klang Valley". Haih.. I'm exaggerating.. I've actually went all the way to Midvalley by public transport before and shopped alone too.. Nothing impressive. -.-
But anyway, this is just a bulletin/update to show off my vain shots which is not impressive at all. Thanks to my (non-DSLR) camera.. But LuPy is a good cam. Just sometimes the pictures turn out grainy when the lighting is bad and co-incidentally I can't use flash. I wonder if DSLR pictures will turn out grainy without flash also? DSLR is very common now.. and I realize that I don't have any skills in photography -.- I guess skills is what that matters to produce amazing photos and not mainly dependable on the camera being used. Recently I've been thinking.. If I have extra money to spend in the future.. would I get myself a DSLR or a Polaroid camera which is in my preference; SX70 ... (whosshhh... The films are super expensive) I've been quite crazy about SX70 lately but I don't think its quite worth due to the expensive and almost extinct films and camera. But who knows right??
If I'm rich, haha... I would get both.. and oh.. I want a camcorder too.. but camcorder can be later.. I wish to travel starting with Taiwan this year, 2011.. I don't know if I can go to far places but I still wanna get out of this country every now and then. So please please please... somebody.. HIRE ME! Eh... my results are so bad.. how should I convince them to hire me? Silly!
Interviewer: Do you have any special skills or talent?
Me: Oh, yes.. I can watch drama for a very long period of time in one single day and only stop for a few moments when necessary. My highest record is 15 hours straight(including the stopping for necessary activities) which I had finished the whole series containing 20 episodes. ^.^
Interviewer: -.-
Kah Kah Kah...
Ops, sorry to bore you people! If you are not interested in my ugly shots you can close the page now! Bye! Thanks for stopping by anyway! Happy 2011!
Here starts all the scary faces and oh, oh.. I've finally found out how to enlarge the photos on blogger... See this link . It's really easy to change it!
I only bought 2 things for CNY today. First is this shorts/knee-length pants from cache cache.
Well, it wasn't that I really loved it.. but because the price was okay and I should get more shorts to take along to Taiwan cos it would be summer when I get there and it would be even hotter than Malaysia! *That's what I heard*
So yeah! The shorts was okay but then I realized that it's kinda warm..
-.- FML
More than 50% reduction.. Ok ma..
Next is this cute dress which I bought from Orange Sorbet in Jusco itself. I like it alot but hmm.. the price? I wonder if I could get the exact same dress in Sungai Wang for a cheaper price.
The entire dress.. My long mirror, finally in good use.. Yeah!

Welcoming 2011
It's My LifeFrom the title, I guess everyone must have thought that I've went out to celebrate on the New Year's Eve. But sad to say, no, I didn't go out. I never did and I don't know if I would in the near future. Because going out to countdown on NY eve in public places in Malaysia is kinda.. scary.. If it's not because of the jam, then there would be cars got besieged/surrounded, cars got sprayed with snowy thingy or pretty girls turned into snowgirl all of the sudden! So.. erm.. I guess I better just stay home and escape all the fuss. But I really do wanna experience how it feels like to welcome the new year and countdown with thousands of aliens. LOLS.
So how did I welcome my 2011? Easy.. just stayed home and watched korean drama. Once I started with one, I'll continue looking for more korean drama, cos I just simply like the way they speak. HaHaHa. Of course, I didn't just only watched drama.. ^.^ I had my second try of frying the ngaku chips. This time I used a slicer but too bad the slices were a little thicker than the 1st time I made it. But I think I could do something with that matter. I always think that whatever I do for the first time, it would come out perfect. But for the 2nd and the other trials after the first, there would always be something amiss. The first ngaku time I did the ngaku chips, even though they were quite oily and got soggy after one day, but they had the perfect golden brown colour. But the second time I made it, the chips turned dark brown very fast and some even got burnt. Ops! Haha.. But right till now, it's still crispy and no, it's not oily anymore.. HAHA.. If this chips could maintain its crispiness for 1 or 2 more days, it means that I've succeeded and I would do more for CNY! Whoopie!
Oh and staying in the city close to town has its own benefits. Cos I could see fireworks right from the balcony of my condo. ^-^ Although it may a little too far and small but I could still see it. Because I only own DIGICAM and not DSLR, this is the only outcome I could get. -.-
