My Darling Child By Deborah Ratte

From the first time I held you, my love started to grow
And I knew you were special, because God told me so
I watched you grow each day and learn
But, my love for you, you did not need to earn
For as a mother, I did vow to love my children every day
And to thank God for this precious gift of life as I pray
And so everyday, I'll tell you again
My love for you will never end

Though we may disagree, argue and fight
The bond of my love will always hold tight
When you stumble and make mistakes
Oh how a mother's heart does ache
And even in your darkest hour of fear
Always know, your mother's love is near
And so everyday, I'll tell you again
My love for you will never end

So, whatever today or tomorrow will bring
No matter how great your troubles may seem
If you shall fall, you can count on me to be there
To pick up the pieces of despair
And when you need love to feel secure
Your mother's love is always here
And so everyday, I'll tell you again
My love for you will never end

Missing You by Anonymous

I lay awake in Grandma's bed that night,
I missed you.
I recalled the times we spent together,
I missed you.
I pondered about how my children would never get the privilege to meet you,
I missed you.
I meditated on the memory of our times on the swing in the back yard,
I missed you.
Now, trying to make it through life without your guidance,
I miss you.
Now, trying to make it through each day without your patience,
I miss you.
Now, trying to make it through each hour without your wisdom,
I miss you.
Now, trying to make it through each minute without your kindness,
I miss you.
Now, trying to make it through each second without your love,
I miss you.
I will miss you until the day I meet you in my home in the sky, and I will love you
Until the end of forever.

God Is Painting The Sky by Anonymous

The little girl said with a tear in her eye
Where is the sunshine that was up in the sky?
Mama answered with an encouraging smile
Only God knows the answer my child.
God has a plan and I know for sure
Please don't feel sad, He'll send the right cure,
Suddenly the little girl giggled out loud
As a cooling breeze blew away the darkened cloud.
There in its place appeared a rainbow so bright
It was truly an incredible, heartwarming sight,
A promise God had made a long time ago
Decorated the Texas sky with a colorful glow.
Mama, she said, God is painting the sky!
Then the little girl pointed to the rainbow so high,
Mama whispered, God has special brushes to make it so large
The rainbow helps us remember who is always in charge.
The little girl reached out to take Mama's hand
As the sunshine began to cover this Texas land,
Mama always knows, the little girl thought with love
As they walked hand in hand, enjoying the rainbow above.

February F♥urteen

Sorry, this is a very very very long poem. And I spent a few days to write this. I wanted to post this before V Day but din manage to finish writing it. Break a few days for CNY, so I had just completed it. Phew.... Erm... I know my message in this poem is kinda vague, but i hope you get the rough idea.

The month of February,
Is the month of love,
Where we see reds and pinks,
And white lovely doves.

And the climax of the month,
Marks February fourteen,
And not till that day of a year,
I knew what love really means.

Like all couples,
We celebrated the day,
Showering loved ones,
With gifts and bouquet.

All girls fantasize,
For the most romantic events,
Everyone bragged about,
Their wonderful plans.

And mine was a surprise,
At least he said it was,
And I waited and waited,
Till my heart beat paused.

When the day arrived,
I was anxious and thrilled,
My outfits and make-up,
All perfect and skilled.

I wished for a dinner,
With candlelight and steak,
And champagne or cocktail,
Crème brulee and cheesecake.

My wish was fulfilled,
Only half the course,
There were candles and steak,
And champagne of course.

But greedy as I was,
I wanted so much more,
Dinner at a restaurant,
A walk by the shore.

But the surprise he gave me,
Did not please me at all,
Dining on the kitchen table?
A slow dance in the hall?

The feeling of love,
Slowly turned into hate,
I cried and screamed,
And ran out of the gate.

He was puzzled and confused,
And didn’t know what to do,
But he apologized and asked,
“What did I do to hurt you?”

“You hurt me deeply,
By doing nothing,
It’s the worst Valentine,
That I would live my life hating!”

“I dreamt of us both,
Dining on an expensive meal,
And get a fantastic ride,
On a large Ferris Wheel.”

“But all I got was,
Just a celebration at home,
A slow dance and steak,
That you cooked on your own?”

But something that he said,
That completely changed my mind,
“Though Valentine is special,
But love is still blind.”

“Love does not choose,
Certain time or certain date,
Love means sacrifice,
And never knew what was hate.”

“If today is special,
It does not mean I love you more,
And if tomorrow is your dying day,
It’s still you that I’ll adore.”

“Valentine is just the same to me,
As the rest of the days,
And I promise that I will always love you,
Even till my body rots and decays.”

I was filled with egoism,
And just ran away from there,
But something that I didn’t know,
Something, I wasn’t aware.

For a car was coming,
At top speed towards me,
As soon as I knew it,
I just stood there stiffly.

And the next thing I knew,
I was thrown to the side,
As I turned my head around,
One word “No!!” I cried.

Love really means sacrifice,
And do what you think its right,
Even if it was to risk your own life,
You will think that it’s alright.

If it was our last Valentine,
I would eat up all the steaks,
If it was our last dance together,
I wouldn’t stop if there were earthquakes.

If it was his last night with me,
I would hold him tight and say,
I would tell him how much I love him,
In any single day.

If it was the last breath he breathed,
I wouldn’t have ran away,
The car wouldn’t have knocked him down,
On the most perfect Valentine’s Day.

At that moment I prayed to God,
And begged for His forgiveness,
I pleaded him to return me,
My darling, my most precious.

In life we live just once,
Don’t take things for granted,
Learn to love and appreciate,
Avoid envy and hatred.

It’s not too late for you,
To know that love is blind,
Love is just the same on all days,
Not only special on Valentine.

So, my message is actually, Valentine is just like any other days. To love someone, we don't need a timetable or a special occasion. Everyday should be Valentine's Day! And oh, appreciate all the little things we have in life, even if we get a feather for Valentine's, at least it's still a thought.

The Don't Quit Poem (Inspirational)

I was browsing through some videos in the middle of the night, and came across this beautiful poem. It's inspirational but sadly, the author of this masterpiece is unknown( according to this site)
To the unknown author,
Whoever you are, you have written a beautiful poem which had inspired zillions of people, and perhaps had also saved millions of lives by making them realize that their lives does not end in failure and the sun still shines tomorrow.

Please click on THIS link to watch it on youtube. Sorry, my template does not fit the whole screen. Thank you!
Enjoy.

Bubba Gump

Like I promised before, I would like to buy darling a dinner at Bubba Gump. Therefore, the day had finally came for us both to make time to go out and have dinner at this movie inspired restaurant, Bubba Gump. (Mind you the quality of the pictures are not very good and most of the pictures of me are hiddeous. Dunno why I like to make stupid faces and they turned out to be U.G.L.Y) .

We watched Universal Soldiers too, but I don't think its very captivating and a little boring too to me.

Bubba Gump sign at the walkway connecting the main Sunway Pyramid complex with the restaurants outside, so we dind't have to go out throught the main entrance.

Another display at the walkway

Tried to take a photo together with the signboard as the background but tak jadi.
Same Place Found
Very Blur result of the inner view of the restaurant

Alot of wordings on the tables and walls.
My Stupid Fugly face~This sign "Run Forrest Run" indicates everything is going smoothly at ur table.
Darling
Flip to this sign when u need any services from the waiters or waitresses.
At one time, nutty darling just flipped to this sign for fun, showing me something, and co-incidentally a waitress passed by and asked if we need anything. Pity her!

Their Dessert menu on a ping pong bat.

Their Specialty, Shrimpers' Heaven as starter~quite a big portion cos there are 4
ways of cooking the shrimps+fries = yummy!
RM 48.90
The other 2 types

This is Bourdon Street ~Charbroiled Cajun(fish) + mashed potato+grilled shrimps
RM 33.90

Sorry the stupid flash spoil the pic~ Sweet Home Alabama Smoothie + Jenny's Favourite
RM 11.90 each
Sweet Home Alabama Smoothie ~ It was darling's drink and I asked him how was the drink. He told me that it tasted like peanut butter. The instant thought that I had at that time was - Peanut Butter drink?? Yucks!! But I tried it after darling convinced me that it is not like what I thougt it was. So, I tried it and it was YUMMYLICIOUS!!! I would order this the next time I go.
Jenny's Favourite ~ Mine was nice too. This one tasted like strawberry jam, I mean seriously. I've never tried anything like these two.
A bucket of sauces from Bubba Gump!

Darling and the ping pong bat!
Sigh of relieve!! Finally I've tried out at Bubba Gumps and like the different dining experience. Can't wait to flip the signs... LOLS... Childish me!
So, my next destination would be German restaurant, most probably Bavarian Bierhaus @ The Curve ~ like can't wait to eat German sausages. YUMMM!!!!
Ermmm... thats all for today's post! Promised to sleep early today cos helping aunt to bake cookies tomoro!! NITES!!!

Bulletin Post: Midnight Nail Art

Okay, I was struggling to finish my part in the report. Though it was jus very short, and other people might have laughed their heads off when they knew that I took the whole day to complete a half-page introduction; but I don't quite care if their heads explode or not cause I do admit that I'm a slow reader and find it hard to absorb anything apart from fiction novels. Plus I did not have quite a mood for homework, so I dilly-dallied to God knows what time. Finally, it was done by around 2 something or was it 3? I don't know but nevermind, that is not the major concern here. Well, yeah! I had my toe nails polished weeks ago and the polish are slowly coming off so they look kinda ugly now. I decided that it was time to remove them and then suddenly something came up! I've always wanted to do nail art. Not just sticking some stickers on my nails but you know, drawing on them. I already had some rough ideas on doing something with white and pink (though pink is not my colour but I already bought the polish and never really have the chance to use it) . So, I thought this could be the opportunity that I'm using the pink for a purpose. Coinciding with V Day, I thought I should have some hearts drawn on my nails. Searched for some tutorials on youtube and i found plenty. But I got the design that I wanted from this video. Though it's quite different but it still has the hearts that I wanted them to be.

I really love the 3rd design, it looks so retro and simple.

And another video caught my attention. This is also a very simple design, but hey, I'm not a professional so I think I should just take everything step by step.

HHmmmm..... It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland, The Queen of Hearts, don't you think? Okay, if I can get a red nail polish soon, I might be doing that for the coming CNY. Red represents the colour of CNY and the hearts represents Valentine's day which both falls on the same day! PERFECT!

After watching these two videos, I started to practice my nail art skills on my toe nails. Not many people will notice it even if I screw up.

Soft pink and white nail polish.

At first I was thinking of using this toothpick to draw the hearts but then I realized that this just won't work.

Searched my room and I finally found this abandoned hair clip. Well I'm not gonna use it anymore and it has the perfect shape at the end. The free tool to draw my hearts. Lucky me! Pity him!

Ok, as usual apply the base coat and then the white nail polish. When the white is dry, it's time to draw the hearts. Blob a few drops of pink polish on a piece of paper. Looks something like below.

Blobs of pink polish.
Then just dip the tool (in my case hair pin) into the pink polish and start drawing hearts on your nails. Watch the video for the correct method. I did not use a good nail polish so it did not come out just right.

My ugly toe nails(right)

Ugly toe nails (left)

It does not look very nice, it's very messy and my ugly toes contribute alot to this. Overall, this is my first time doing nail art and I did not have all the appropriate tools, and I'm already quite satisfied that I did not ruin it entirely. I'm still hoping for a second chance on The Queen of Hearts design. Well, I wanted to post this right after I did it, but it was already very late and my PC decided to screw up and hang everytime I wanna upload a picture. Plus I had a 9 o'clock class the next morning, so I just delayed it to today. And I'm still surviving! LOLS. Gotta go read stupid articles for assignment! TATA!

The Pig by Roald Dahl

Haha.. this is cute and funny..

In England once there lived a big
And wonderfully clever pig.
To everybody it was plain
That Piggy had a massive brain.
He worked out sums inside his head,
There was no book he hadn't read.
He knew what made an airplane fly,
He knew how engines worked and why.
He knew all this, but in the end
One question drove him round the bend:
He simply couldn't puzzle out
What LIFE was really all about.
What was the reason for his birth?
Why was he placed upon this earth?
His giant brain went round and round.
Alas, no answer could be found.
Till suddenly one wondrous night.
All in a flash he saw the light.
He jumped up like a ballet dancer
And yelled, "By gum, I've got the answer!"
"They want my bacon slice by slice
"To sell at a tremendous price!
"They want my tender juicy chops
"To put in all the butcher's shops!
"They want my pork to make a roast
"And that's the part'll cost the most!
"They want my sausages in strings!
"They even want my chitterlings!
"The butcher's shop! The carving knife!
"That is the reason for my life!
"Such thoughts as these are not designed
To give a pig great piece of mind.
Next morning, in comes Farmer Bland,
A pail of pigswill in his hand,
And piggy with a mighty roar,
Bashes the farmer to the floor
Now comes the rather grizzly bit
So let's not make too much of it,
Except that you must understand
That Piggy did eat Farmer Bland,
He ate him up from head to toe,
Chewing the pieces nice and slow.
It took an hour to reach the feet,
Because there was so much to eat,
And when he finished, Pig, of course,
Felt absolutely no remorse.
Slowly he scratched his brainy head
And with a little smile he said,
"I had a fairly powerful hunch
"That he might have me for his lunch.
"And so, because I feared the worst,
"I thought I'd better eat him first."

Television by Roald Dahl

Articles sicken me, so I was poem hunting. This is a poem by Roald Dahl, entitled Television. I've sorta heard about this poem long ago but didn't get the chance to read it. He writes poetries and books, mostly for children. I like Matilda (a book and it came out as a movie too). It's very creative and interesting. Something different whereby Matilda have some special abilities to do things without touching them. Really love that story. But this post is about the poem Television. It's very little long and rhythmic too. Hee...

The most important thing we've learned,
So far as children are concerned,
Is never, NEVER, NEVER let
Them near your television set --
Or better still, just don't install
The idiotic thing at all.
In almost every house we've been,
We've watched them gaping at the screen.
They loll and slop and lounge about,
And stare until their eyes pop out.
(Last week in someone's place we saw
A dozen eyeballs on the floor.)
They sit and stare and stare and sit
Until they're hypnotised by it,
Until they're absolutely drunk
With all that shocking ghastly junk.
Oh yes, we know it keeps them still,
They don't climb out the window sill,
They never fight or kick or punch,
They leave you free to cook the lunch
And wash the dishes in the sink --
But did you ever stop to think,
To wonder just exactly what
This does to your beloved tot?
IT ROTS THE SENSE IN THE HEAD!
IT KILLS IMAGINATION DEAD!
IT CLOGS AND CLUTTERS UP THE MIND!
IT MAKES A CHILD SO DULL AND BLIND
HE CAN NO LONGER UNDERSTAND
A FANTASY, A FAIRYLAND!
HIS BRAIN BECOMES AS SOFT AS CHEESE!
HIS POWERS OF THINKING RUST AND FREEZE!
HE CANNOT THINK --
HE ONLY SEES!
'All right!' you'll cry. 'All right!' you'll say,
'But if we take the set away,
What shall we do to entertain
Our darling children? Please explain!
'We'll answer this by asking you,
'What used the darling ones to do?
'How used they keep themselves contented
Before this monster was invented?
'Have you forgotten? Don't you know?
We'll say it very loud and slow:
THEY ... USED ... TO ... READ! They'd READ and READ,
AND READ and READ, and then proceed
To READ some more. Great Scott! Gadzooks!
One half their lives was reading books!
The nursery shelves held books galore!
Books cluttered up the nursery floor!
And in the bedroom, by the bed,
More books were waiting to be read!
Such wondrous, fine, fantastic tales
Of dragons, gypsies, queens, and whales
And treasure isles, and distant shores
Where smugglers rowed with muffled oars,
And pirates wearing purple pants,
And sailing ships and elephants,
And cannibals crouching 'round the pot,
Stirring away at something hot.
(It smells so good, what can it be?
Good gracious, it's Penelope.)
The younger ones had Beatrix Potter
With Mr. Tod, the dirty rotter,
And Squirrel Nutkin, Pigling Bland,
And Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle and-
Just How The Camel Got His Hump,
And How the Monkey Lost His Rump,
And Mr. Toad, and bless my soul,
There's Mr. Rate and Mr. Mole-
Oh, books, what books they used to know,
Those children living long ago!
So please, oh please, we beg, we pray,
Go throw your TV set away,
And in its place you can install
A lovely bookshelf on the wall.
Then fill the shelves with lots of books,
Ignoring all the dirty looks,
The screams and yells, the bites and kicks,
And children hitting you with sticks-
Fear not, because we promise you
That, in about a week or two
Of having nothing else to do,
They'll now begin to feel the need
Of having something to read.
And once they start -- oh boy, oh boy!
You watch the slowly growing joy
That fills their hearts. They'll grow so keen
They'll wonder what they'd ever seen
In that ridiculous machine,
That nauseating, foul, unclean,
Repulsive television screen!
And later, each and every kid
Will love you more for what you did.

Hhhaaaahhh... Finally, it has come to an end.. long eh? Well, Mr. Roald, the kids now have computers, internet and play station. LOLS..
