My Little Darling (Old Poem)

You wrapped your arms around my waist,
And embraced me through the night,
To you I’ve surrendered my heart and soul,
So hold me tight.

Even the sky is green,
Or the grass is blue,
But my love to you,
Will be forever true.

I know it’s hard,
To love the hard way,
But I promise you,
I’m here to stay.

And I realized,
It’s not easy to say,
So I held up my hands
And started to pray.

That my little angel,
Will be save and sound,
Protect him from danger,
Please I pronounce.

I’m willing to give,
My everything,
As long as you bless him,
My little darling.
