Our 4th Anniversary

My Gratitude:
11th of December 2009 showed that we have gone through both hardship and happiness together for 4 years already. In these years, we’ve been through a lot, got to know each other better and had tried to tolerate with each other’s behavior (though usually only he will). I would consider myself very lucky actually for I’m blessed with a very understanding boyfriend. If you really do know me, (those that think that they know me superbly well, think again) I’m actually a selfish, spoilt brat who does not only complain a lot, but is also hard to tolerate with and bad-tempered, not to mention. Despite all that, my poor darling had managed himself very well, gave in to me all the time and had been faithful to me ever since. I feel so fortunate to have him in my life and hoping that I will get the opportunity to serve him well for the rest of our lives.

The Celebration:
We celebrated our anniversary on the 13th which was a Sunday. Darling had planned the whole day activity way before this date (look how sweet of him). And he had taken all the effort to search for an appropriate dinner with a suitable atmosphere for the night. He made his research by going through many articles, reviews, various food blogs and also forums. I wouldn’t have that much of a patience to sit in front of the com, reading and comparing the reviews. So, please people, give THE MAN a big applause. The day went off quite well, though we faced so many disappointments that day. But it was alright, cause at the end of the day, it’s about me and him, us being together and enjoy each one’s company. So together with this post, I’m gonna upload some (many) pictures chronologically in case you people dun believe me. *winks*. It was nothing too fancy and I did not go on expensive trip but it sure meant a lot to me. So sit back, relax and feel free to leave your comments. Aites people, let the pictures do the talking.

Upon his arrival:

All ready to go….

You can eat these at ...

The 2nd stop: Taman Tasik Titiwangsa
Wanted to go there for zorbing and water ball, but unfortunately, they were only opened for half day that PARTICULAR day. Of all days, they chose 13th of December. This was one of the event planned that I was soooo freaking looking forward for. And it disappointed me. Those that have tried zorbing and water ball please give me some comments about these activities and if they are worth paying for. I can hardly bare a second disappointment.
So i just took some pics at titiwangsa..

Some bungalows there..

Dear, the road is infront.. hehe..
The 3rd stop: The Pavilion.

Darling heard that the Christmas deco there was nice, so we went there to have a look and watched Stormed Riders. I had like 2 chances to take free pictures with Santa Clause and his pretty assistant but sadly, I was in my timid and shy mode that day :( . So now we only have pictures of the decorations and the Santa when he had the photo session on the sleigh. We missed that too, and frankly speaking, getting your photo taken on the sleigh with Santa with your picture framed up (in a frame given to you) with only RM10 is quite reasonable I would say. There are other days which this photo session gonna take place, but I dun remember the dates so I’m terribly sorry. Some pictures might not be in a good shape cos smtg happened to the camera. Sorry!

The centre court.

The decorations outside was great too. Wait till u see the sleigh and raindeer.

Darling

The sleigh, I bet the view is gonna be gorgeous at night with all the lights lit up.

We tried to take our pics together with the sleigh as the background.. but tak jadi.. sigh.. i not pro mar.. teach me pls..

Happy anniversary darling, a big bottle of perfume for you..

Dear, did the perfume bottle fall from the sky?

It was near the Stairs going down to the centre court. Photo session with santa.

See my darling had all the patience to try to fix my phone. it dropped on the floor when i was not in a good mood. Muaxxx
ps: i did not throw it...

The last stop: The Highlight
The dinner was the crème de la crème. And this was the event that I was truly looking forward to, so zorbing had to come second. Darling gave me a choice of seafood, Italian and French. I had a tough time choosing over them, for seafood is one of my favorites, having a real Italian chef hailed from Italy and not to mention (the restaurant he was working for previously or smtg like that had some recognition or smtg like that lar) to cook your dinner is a good experience in M’sia and last but not the least, getting the first experience to dine in a romantic French restaurant on an oh, so romantic and significant day was also smtg which I would not want to miss in the world. So finally, I opted for French due to its theme and many reviews said that the atmosphere is very suitable to our occasion. And since the price is almost the same as seafood and Italian, so why not? There’s always another time for seafood and Il Tempio (the Italian restaurant)

Wanted to wear a dress, but due to zorbing i had to wear jeans..

Darling..

Stupid face of mine

in the restaurant.

Diamonds in the sky...

the complimentary buns was a little too hard for me but it was not bad.

The first starter was lamb with potato. the original menu was suppose to be beef but I dun take beef, so they said I can choose either lamb or duck. So lamb it was and it was soft/tender cos I think it rely tasted like duck meat. So it was good.

The second starter was the signature/recommended dish of the restaurant. Its pan seared foie gras (duck liver). Everyone in the blogs and articles that we have read said that this dish is just simply can’t be missed. So I guess I should just add on that, if you have been to Café Café and did not eat this dish, it means that you have not been there. (u know what I mean lar) well, dun be fooled by the name liver, cause it taste nothing like it (at least not like pork liver lar). The outer texture is crispy and inside is soft and there’s some sort like a fluid(darling said its fats) which is very oily. First bite, it was simply scrumptious but if I eat too much, I really feel one kind maybe because of the oil. I can’t judge much, cause I’m not a food analyst or critics. Being an ordinary eater (?) and my first attempt of French dining I would really recommend this too, because it’s not smtg which we can get everyday outside. So, go for it. Escargot is another famous French starter and I would really wanna try it one day but that night we were out of budget and my tummy could not take in anymore. Though the portion was REALLY REALLY REALLY small(you know lar French cuisine is like that), but I ordered a set, so it was a complete meal. Oh, please dun be fooled by the pictures uploaded by other bloggers cause their camera is of high quality. What I mean here is the portion of the dish.
Main course 1

I don’t remember but I think the clamps were categorized in the main.
Clamps cooked in white wine.. Sssssssssssllllllluuuuuurrrrrrrrrrppppppppp. I always think that I prefer wines from beer and I’m absolutely right.

a sample of their table

Main course 2

Mine was cod fillet and darling’s was duck confit, another famous French cuisine. it was very crispy and my cod fish was good too.

Desert 1

Cheese sorbet. Hhmmm, maybe I’m not used to French cuisine but those cheese lovers might love this dish. Pure cheese.

Me + Dessert

Darling + Dessert

Dessert 2

I would really brag about this one.
Original chocolate cake. For those maybe this might not fancy them, but I would give 2 thumbs up + darling’s 2 thumbs up to this desert. If you look at the rather tiny whiny cake (maybe not so tiny lar, lols over reacting) it might look solid to you, yes on the outer part but once you break through it, all the chocolate molten flow out like volcanic lava. So please dun be shocked when you eat this. I was when I ate it as I was the one who tried on it first. No wonder darling was asking the waiter was this cake the one that the chocolate will flow out wan lar. It did keep me puzzle for a moment, but the always blur me did not understand their conversation, so was not alert. See never do my homework like darling.
And oh, you can also try Crème Brulee and I do hope I can try it sometime too.

Well, that was all for the food section. As for the atmosphere, like all bloggers said, the ambience of the café was beyond doubt romantic (to me lar) with its dim lighting, Victorian style design and glass/crystal or smtg in diamond shape dangling from the ceiling makes it looks like diamonds falling down from the sky. The other side of the restaurant which I did not manage to see ( shy mode) I really can’t describe cause I did not see it. Darling said they have a piano upstairs so he went up to snap some pictures but he came down with no piano pictures (giggles). But he took all the effort and courage to go up there and snapped pictures of the tables and another I believe was a fireplace. After all, I’m really grateful for what he has done for me. He took all these pictures so that I can brag about it on my blog. (hhmm, I think I should call this bragging rather than blogging) if you all wanna have a clearer picture of what Café Café looks like, google it and read in other blogs. Those are the specialist. I’m an amateur.

cant see the board???
Well,,, here... got adress some more...
The menu for the night
I don’t remember every word, but this is just a vague idea;
Bleu 169 :- lamb/beef with potato
Pan seared foie gras/got another choice
Clamps in white wine
Cod fish/lamb smtg/and another choice
Cheese/lemon sorbet
Ori choc cake / cheese platter
RM 169
Darlings duck confit was RM69

Service charge was 10% but the service was very good and plus the romantic dining experience. To some maybe not as romantic as what they imagine here from what I say. But it was worth paying for the tax.
Overall, it’s a great French dining experience, as always, the first attempt is always exciting .i would like to give special thanks to my darling who have made all these a reality and have stayed by me all these while.
chéri de merci
maintenant et pour toujours je vous aimerai toujours

And as for Café Café, is all for you to judge. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and so, taste lies in the palate of the diner? LOLS..
I am blogging about this right after I reach home from my incredible day( though I only post it as it RIGHT NOW; time and date below) , now’s 3am already, so I’m really worn-out right now so thanks for staying with me and ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzz…….

Ya, by the way, next time if (BIG IF) I am going on a date with my future (if any) GF, can I ask your Darling to provide the info on where to eat and gai-gai ah? I am lazy to think, ha ha and always ask people to provide me a "template". Ha ha, I hope he don't mind. I am also sure that it is a good template because his customer (Oops) is so satisfy, ha ha.
